So, yes, I admit it, I would have liked 'The Tree of Life' a lot more if the soundtrack had included Moscow Olympics on it. However, even so, I still can't wait for Part 2. Erm, there is a Part 2 coming along soon, right? Like, 'The Shrubbery of Death', or something?

ReplyDeleteSaw the movie and actually found myself entranced by some of the music - there was a particular operatic type song during some of the imagery that I am determined to find! I like this too though. Will definitely be giving it a repeat listen, thanks!

Yes indeed, to be serious for a moment, I thought the soundtrack was very fitting and appropriate for the picture. It reminded me of the way that the music of Dead Can Dance was used in that 90s film/documentary 'Baraka'. Glad you enjoyed the track by Moscow Olympics though - Philippines indiepop FTW! :)
