Passion pop has your name and number

-
For a cold October in Glasgow, you need to hear a record that sounds like the dizzy heights of a St. Tropez summer. And, you know, if the (Melbourne) band in question remind you of a grand day out, up North, where the wild catz roamed then, yes, it's so much the fucking better. Play loud! And bedroom dance! <3

Just a purrfect sound... meow. :) You can buy the long-player over here. It is one of the best albums I own. Fact.

  1. It's one of my absolute favourite albums too.

  2. A twee-pop record, Comrade?

I particularly like the dual vocal, and the fact that their album was released in 2009-going-on-1986. If only the nice person at the mixing desk knew how to turn on the volume on that bass track ;)

Twee-pop indeed LGM - and of the Melbourne variety (the very best kind, outside of Glasgow and Bristol).

2009 going on 1986. Sigh! And, you know, it was always about the trebly guitar soundz. Bass was just loud handclaps! (though, yes, Michael Hiscock's bass playing for The Field Mice was extraordinary!).

    :)

  4. I quite liked that Colin but as LGM says, where's the bass?

  6. Haha...! it was meant to be a sense of humour! But, really, rhetorical questions are a pain in the arse - I get enough of those at my place of work! ;)
